The Game of TT — This or That
Team Edition — A Playful Twist on Decision-Making
Looking to for some fun activity for your next team meeting or retrospective? Check out the game of TT — “This or That,” a classic group game that fits the team settings.
In my recent book — THE ART OF FACILITATION, I have presented multiple team activities, and today, I want to highlight the revamped version of the timeless “This or That.” This simple, yet effective activity involves posing two options. The participants, who must choose one of the two, provided options. But how can we turn this into a team-building exercise, especially in the age of hybrid meetings?
Tailoring the Game for Teams: Whether your team is small or large, “This or That” adapts seamlessly to any size. I usually mix casual, fun questions with work-related ones, aiming for around 10 to 12 questions to keep things lively. And don’t worry about the games timelines, it is not much impacted by the team size.
Movement for Mind Activation: Sitting through long boring meetings can be tricky, and participants lose focus and interest during these boring meetings. Adding some movements and fun keeps the participants engaged, but also boosts blood circulation and activates those brain cells.
