Fun with Pottery

3 min readAug 2, 2024

I have discovered a love for playing with soil and mud. This love can be found in gardening, and my recent find was pottery. This year, I have spent some time doing pottery, and it’s truly a calming experience.

Earlier this year, I had the chance to try pottery on the wheel while in Bali. It was so much fun and incredibly relaxing. If you ever visit Bali, I highly recommend trying your hand at the pottery wheel. Make sure you have at least a few days to spare, so your final product has time to be ready for pickup. Unfortunately, I only tried it two days before returning home, so I couldn’t pick up my finished piece. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the experience immensely. Checkout the Instagram handle #serayupot

When I returned to the Netherlands, I was on the lookout for something interesting to do and came across a hand-building pottery session with Tessa. You can find more details on her website. Checkout her Instagram handle @studiotessaspeek
